About
Summary
I'm a molecular anthropologist and freelance science communicator based in the Berlin-Brandenburg area, with a background spanning conservation science, ancient DNA (aDNA), and public-facing research communication.
I hold two MSc degrees from the University of Florence (Conservation Science; Paleogenetics/Anthropology), with thesis research on aDNA under Dr. Martina Lari (Caramelli group), and completed a research period at the University of Potsdam with Prof. Michael Hofreiter, working on ancient cave bear genomes.
Alongside research, I write for outlets including Scienza in Rete, Pikaia, and Advanced Science News (Wiley), and run a YouTube channel on archaeogenetics and molecular anthropology. I'm currently looking for opportunities in research, museums, or science communication in the Berlin-Brandenburg region — labs, collections, public engagement, or editorial roles where scientific rigor meets storytelling.
