About

Summary

I am an agronomist, M.Sc., and Ph.D. in plant physiology.

The studies conducted during my academic formation had an emphasis on biotic and abiotic plant stresses and were performed at field, greenhouse, and laboratory levels. Since graduation, I have gained experience with experiment management, scientific publications and physiological, biochemical, and molecular analysis of plants (qRT-PCR, chlorophyll a fluorescence, foliar gas exchange, light microscopy, gas chromatography, and quantification of defense-related compounds and enzymes activity).

In my doctorate, I studied defense responses of soybean plants against Phakopsora pachyrhizi enhanced by mineral nutrition. I also collaborated with studies carried out with other pathosystems. Moreover, I have experience with in vitro cultivation of both plants and fungi and with tests of phytotoxicity and disease control by different products.
