About

Summary

I am an accomplished analytical chemist with over a decade of experience, including five years of postdoctoral research, specializing in mass spectrometry-based metabolomics, natural product drug discovery, and biosynthesis. My expertise spans LC-MS, GC-MS, NMR, and spectroscopy techniques, with proficiency in instrument operation, troubleshooting, data acquisition, and analysis. I have extensive hands-on experience with UPLC-Q-Exactive-Orbitrap-HRMS (Thermo); GC-Q-TOF-MS, UPLC-Q-TOF-MS, HPLC-TOF-MS (Agilent); HPLC (Agilent, Waters, Buchi); MPLC, and Combi-Flash (Buchi). My research has advanced plant-pest interactions through mass spectrometry applications in detoxification enzyme studies and RNA interference (RNAi). I also specialize in extraction, purification, and structure elucidation of bioactive compounds.

I am proficient in Agilent’s MassHunter, OpenLab; Thermo Scientific’s Xcalibur, TraceFinder, Freestyle, Compound Discoverer; Waters’ Empower, MassLynx; and metabolomics tools like MZmine, MetaboAnalyst, XCMS, MS-DIAL, and GNPS. Skilled in analytical method development and validation, I have a strong publication record, conference presentations, and successful research grants. Passionate about mentorship and collaboration, I integrate cutting-edge analytical techniques to solve complex challenges in biochemistry, pharmaceuticals, and natural product research.
