Dr. Adnan Akhunzada

Summary

Dr. adnan is an enthusiastic and dedicated professional with extensive research & development experience both in industry and academia. He has a proven track record of high impact published research & inventions (i.e., US Patents, Q1 Journals, IEEE Transactions, IEEE Reputable Magazines, Book Chapters, Conferences and Conference proceedings), commercial products, and serves as Project Investigator (PI) and Co-PI of National & International EU funding in Computer Science. He is strong in academic research coupled with industrial experience (i.e., his research has been pushed to commercial products and patents). He is a Senior Member, IEEE, Professional Member, ACM, and member of the technical program committee and editorial boards for various renown IEEE transactions, Journals, and conferences.

He has a demonstrated history of working 13 Years of professional teaching experience (i.e., Year tutor, Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Assistant Professor, External Expert, Senior Researcher, Researcher,  Associate Professor, and visiting professor) in international as well as national multi-cultural environments with diversified learners at UG and PG levels, – taught a variety of courses plus mentor-ship of graduate students, and supervision of post graduate (i.e., Masters, & PhD) students having professional teaching certifications. He always considers the possibility of bringing in more specialized courses and streams being course lead and programme lead. He has designed Outcome-based educational curriculum for Bachelor of Computer Science, Bachelor of Computer Science in Cyber Security, and Master of Information Security that involves complete CDFs development according to ACM/IEEE Curriculum 2013, and ACM/IEEE-CS Information Technology Curriculum 2017 guidelines. Besides, he has been rigorously involved in international accreditation such as ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology).

Besides, his working experience in R&D is diverse but mainly comprise of cyber security and large scale distributed computing to majorly contribute to (i.e., Scientific Leadership, Development, Implementation, Internal coordination, Planning, Designing, Specific work package leading & implementation, writing and complete evaluation) of acquiring varied H2020-ICT-2018-2020, Vinnova, ITEA3, ICT national and international funding proposals and commercial products. Turning research Idea into a proposal worth funding, writing various funding proposals, and working in close collaboration with diverse Swedish & international industry key partners such as Volvo, ABB, Ericson, and international key ICT players for instance, Cisco and IBM.
