Post Doctoral Fellow Jul 2015 -

Institute for Plasma Research

Presently I am working as a post doctoral fellow at SST-1 tokamak, IPR, India in the field of wall conditioning, edge transport and turbulence.

Education

CEntre of Plasma Physics-IPR, Assam, India 2009 - 2014

Field of study: Dusty Plasma
Degree: Ph D

During Ph D, I worked in the field of dusty plasma and negative hydrogen ion source. The title of my Ph D thesis is "Experimental studies on dust charging in laboratory complex plasma".  During Ph D tenure, I have played a key role in the development of a novel surface assisted volume H ion source by spraying cesium coated tungsten dust into the plasma volume. The work is accepted for Indian Patent (Patent No: 97/KOL/2014). At present, I am working at Steady State Superconducting Tokamak-1, IPR, Gandhinagar as a post doctoral fellow. I received the prestigious Buti Young Scientist Award – 2011 offered by PSSI and some Best Poster Awards at different National conferences.
