About

Summary

I particularly enjoy the challenging research which enhance my experimental skills and importantly, useful for applied applications. I have been working on synthesis of different size and shape of Gold nanoparticles, their Monolayer film at Air/Liquid, Liquid/Liquid Interface, and modification of the surface of Gold Nanoparticles with different Surfactants. I had control over important characterization techniques, for example, Mass Spectrometer, NMR, UV Visible and IR, FTIR techniques and also learned about TEM, SEM, and Raman. During research career from September 2017 to date, I got published 1 SCI papers as a first author, 6 co-author at international reputed journals.

Positions

MS student Aug 2016 - Sep 2019

Chinese Academy of Sciences

I have started MS in Material Physics and Chemistry from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, China under fully Paid University Scholarship. I have synthesized different shapes and structures of nanosized Gold-based materials and applied them in optical and energy storage applications. Particularly in my first year during my course work I was not allowed to go to lab and I have published a review paper with my friend about cancer cells and nanoparticles interactions with them. Basically, for this review paper, i have studied the mechanism of interaction of noble metal nanoparticles especially Au and Ag with cancer cells and what are the possible outcomes after the interaction. I had able to disseminate my research findings in high-end scientific journals and obtained excellent MS research student award from my University and also from my institute and secure various awards like Jose Gracio Student Award. Then after my coursework, I have joined my institute and start working on the synthesis of AuNPs. First of all, I have achieved successfully controlled size synthesis of AuNPs then I have utilized these AuNPs with polymer and designed a novel aerogel for monitoring human breath. This work was published in ACS Langmuir.

University of Gujrat, Pakistan 2011 - 2015

Field of study: Chemistry
Degree: BS (Honours)

In my Bachelor studies, I did work on “Chelating agent’s synthesis and their complexation with different metals” within the area of advanced highly equipped lab. The main object of this research is to provide general information about how to deal with organic synthesis and detect some heavy metals in water or some other heavy metals containing systems by complex formation. I prepared the Tin Oxide nanoparticles. I also published two papers as coauthor in which a simple hydrothermal growth method has been employed to synthesis of single crystalline bullet-shaped stannic oxide nanorods for hydrogen storage and lithium ion batteries
