Bioinformatics technician in the Genome Assembly and Annotation team.
Main tasks:
• Performance of Genome Annotations. Development and maintenance of genome annotation pipelines.
• Assembly and annotation of de novo transcriptomes. Pipeline development and maintenance.
• Support on genome assembly projects. Pipeline integration and maintenance.
• Evaluation and incorporation of new tools and types of data (eg. Oxford Nanopore) to the group pipelines.
• Maintenance of the group web page and jbrowse server for several projects.
