As part of my Master's research project, I worked on the development and characterization of IgY antibodies for theranostic applications, focusing on the generation of antigen-specific antibodies in chickens. The project involved immunization studies, IgY extraction and purification from egg yolk, antibody characterization, and evaluation of antigen-antibody interactions. I gained hands-on experience in techniques such as ELISA, SDS-PAGE, protein quantification assays, antibody purification, sample preparation, and data analysis. This research strengthened my understanding of immunology, antibody technology, and diagnostic assay development.

Internship May 2023 - May 2023

Ahmedabad

Completed an industrial internship at Amul Fed Dairy, Ahmedabad, where I gained practical exposure to dairy processing, quality control, and production operations. During the internship, I worked across multiple departments, including microbiology, packaging, ice cream production, butter processing, and the central laboratory. I learned various microbiological and quality assurance techniques used for testing dairy products, observed large-scale manufacturing and packaging processes, and gained insights into industry standards for food safety, quality management, and dairy product development. The experience provided a comprehensive understanding of dairy industry operations from raw material testing to final product packaging and distribution.

Internship Jul 2022 - Aug 2022

Regional Centre for Biotechnology

Completed the Summer Research Internship Programme at the Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB), Faridabad, where I gained hands-on exposure to diverse areas of modern biotechnology and biomedical research. The programme included training in cell division and intercellular communication using immunofluorescence assays and confocal microscopy, stem cell research through gene knockdown and microinjection in planaria, agricultural biotechnology using the CTAB DNA isolation method, structural biology through protein crystallization techniques, and virology using plaque assays. I also received practical exposure to animal models through visits to the Small Animal Facility and participated in cancer biology experiments involving zebrafish microinjection and live-cell imaging. Additionally, I attended a seminar by Dr. Vijay Kuchroo on the role of TIM3 in regulating anti-tumour immunity and visited the Advanced Technology Platform Centre (ATPC) and BioNEST Bioincubator to learn about advanced research infrastructure and biotechnology entrepreneurship.
