About
Summary
I’m an Optoelectronic Engineer with a PhD in Electronics Engineering and a strong experience in nanofabrication.
My PhD research was focused on the design and fabrication of optofluidic tools like fiber optical stretcher and fiber optical tweezers for contactless cell analysis.
I worked as postdoc in micro-nano fabrication processes involving dual beam SEM-FIB lithography, EBL and RIE and I designed and fabricated plasmonic substrates for single molecule activation (micro-nano hole arrays, nanoantennas, nanocones).I learned to use SNOM, AFM and profilometers for sample characterization and metrology. As extension to this postdoc, I worked on the nanopatterning of non-conventional substrate, studying techniques to distribute nanoparticle on top of optical fibers and tapered capillaries. FIB milling, annealing and Mask lithography were involved in the process.
In the following years I used my optical knowledge for the development of an optoelectronic brain (Si Elegans European Project) and to create new and cost effective optometer for eye length measurement (MedUniWien and Carl Zeiss Jena project).
I'm currently an external collaborator for Zeiss Meditec in Jena, working as system engineer for biometry.
I have a reliable hands-on approach and I’m excited about learning new techniques, enriching my skills. Coming from a research background I can adapt and communicate between different departments and I’m used to present my job through scientific submissions. I have a good knowledge of data analysis and programming with Labview and Matlab and expertise with lithography software like Raith and NPGS.
I’m fluent in English and at the moment I enrolled in a German class to improve my level to B2.
