Summary
I am a younger ecologist with a passion for wildlife conservation, specially carnivorous mammals, and is interested in not only the study of wildlife, but also in understanding how we can live in harmony and ways to mitigate the negative effects of anthropogenic influence.

Wildlife monitoring at the Nature Reserve Monte Genzana Alto Gizio and Natura 2000
sites IT7110100 and IT7110099;
Setting up, maintaining and analysing camera traps to study the distribution of wildlife;
Identifying and inspecting Griffon vulture roosting and feeding sites using GPS data;
Construction of electric fences to protect farms and apiaries from bear raids thereby
reducing human-wildlife conflict;
Environmental restoration (removal of abandoned barbed wire fences and truck tires;
clean-up of lay-bys etc.);
Trail maintenance in the Monte Genzana Alto Gizio reserve

Preparation of food and feeding the wolves;
Checking the wolves water supplies (during summer at least 3 times a day);
Monitoring and observation of the wolves;
Forest maintenance (70% of the time): tree felling and pruning; removal of branches and
other materials and subsequent burning; vegetation clearing using agricultural tools like
hoes and scythes;
During the summer (May to October) fire watch - can include night rounds;
Infrastructures maintenance: checking enclosure’s walls and fences, painting, pathways

Other integrative aspects of Biology, such as those that should support research in the areas of Ecology, Conservation and Environmental Management, Marine Biology, Agriculture, Fisheries and Aquaculture, Pharmaceutical Sciences and Health and Life Sciences are also part of this study plan. The study plan foresees, within the framework of the field of Applied Biology, the undertaking of an Internship, in the country or abroad, in a business or research environment.
