Insecticidal activity of RIPs transgenic plants

Several plant lectins have been reported to possess insecticidal activity towards different pest insects. However, until now very little is known about the insecticidal activity of fungal lectins. Therefore the main aim of my PhD research was to investigate the insecticidal activity of some fungal lectins and to study their mode of action.
