I have been working as a researcher in a project entitled "Generation and load management in waste incineration plants as a contribution to sector coupling – ELMAR". The aim of the ELMAR project is to model the waste incineration plant, the district heating network and the wastewater and sludge treatment plant in Krefeld, which are operated in an integrated way, to validate the model with real-time plant data and finally optimize the model by the TOP-Energy software to determine the flexibility & sector-coupling potentials from a technical, environmental and operational point of view.
I was responsible from the wastewater and the sludge treatment plant and completed the task successfully. Now I am writing a scientific paper about the work I achieved in the project.

Istanbul Technical University takes place in Istanbul / Turkey. I have started my PhD, while I was working in Turkey as a full-time researcher in 2010. I completed 8 classes and passed the proficiency exam before starting my thesis period, but I could actually start doing my thesis, when I started to work in Germany in April 2019. Now I am writing my final thesis report and a scientific paper. I plan to finish my thesis by the end of March 2022 the latest.

Die Istanbul Technische Universität befindet sich in Istanbul / Türkei. Ich habe meine Doktorarbeit begonnen, während ich 2010 in der Türkei als Vollzeitforscherin gearbeitet habe. Ich habe 8 Klassen absolviert und die Eignungsprüfung bestanden, bevor ich mit meiner Abschlussarbeit begann. Eigentlich konnte ich mit meiner Abschlussarbeit beginnen, als ich im April 2019 in Deutschland anfing zu arbeiten. Jetzt schreibe ich meinen Abschlussbericht und eine wissenschaftliche Arbeit. Ich plane, meine Abschlussarbeit bis spätestens Ende März 2022 abzuschließen.
