About

Summary

An experienced and highly skilled materials scientist focused in the field of energy storage, photo voltaic, semiconductor processing and nanotechnology. At present working as a research associate at Indian Institute of Science (IISc).

• Proved experience in plasma based material processing techniques and extensive material
characterization experience, utilizing various techniques in microscopy tools (SEM, TEM),
spectroscopy tools (Raman, FTIR and XRD), surface analysis (XPS, UV-PS, EELS).
• Experienced in clean-room fabrication of semiconductor devices (Si crystalline thin films,
oxides etc.).
• Designed and installed a microwave plasma CVD system for material deposition.
• A team leader in designing the low cost processes, data analysis, report making etc.
• Worked on graphene, CNT’s and other carbon composites synthesis using CVD and
chemical solution methods.
• Familiar with battery assembly, electrochemical analytic methods.

My focus area are:

• Energy storage on batteries (Li ion battery, Al ion battery etc.)
• Material processing based on CVD, PVD and Plasma techniques
• Synthesis of carbon nanomaterials (graphene, CNT’s and composites)

Keywords-
Energy storage, Li ion battery, Al ion battery, Plasma processing, Graphene synthesis

The demand for high energy storage on batteries is increasing day by day. Energy and power delivered by the state-of-art Lithium ion batteries are limiting to the applications specifically in electrical vehicles and advanced electronic devices. The reasons and motivation for my research is thus focused to solve these problems by using new high density storage materials and new battery techniques. More precisely explore and wisely use the area of cutting edge nanotechnology in to the scientific world.
