About

Summary

I worked as a Postdoc and Visiting Scientist at Argonne National Lab, Chemistry Division, Dr. A. F. Wagner and Stephen Pratt’s'. In particular, I was laboring under the supervision of Dr. Branko Ruscic, specifically in the task of developing a new algorithm followed by writing actual code (Fortran 90/95) for a particular thermo chemical application called Active Thermo chemical Tables (ATcT). I had acquired an excellent and new knowledge of, and experience in, algorithm and software development in conjunction with a thermo chemical application. Besides, I have been involved under the direction of Dr. Alexander Burcat (Sabbatical period-Argonne) in the elaboration of a Python code in order to get an XML file from Dr. Burcat’s Thermodynamic Data File.

I have already had one-year postdoc experience at University Kaiserslautern in Germany. I worked in Dr. H. Urbassek Computational Materials Science group, where I accumulated lots of independent research experience (molecular dynamics simulations) by writing a publication, attending scientific technical meetings, presenting papers, and giving seminars.

I received my Ph.D. degree in Physics from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in Barcelona, Spain. I pursued my Ph.D. thesis on the studies of the microscopic properties of liquids and solids by computer simulations under the supervision of Dr. Elvira Guardia.

I have my B.S. /M.S. in Physics from University of Oriente, and on the theoretical and computational studies of multicharged helium-like ions, described by using a Breit type Hamiltonian.

I pursued a post-doctoral work studying science involved theoretical and simulations/ computational study for understanding physics, and with tasks related with computational techniques (e.g. parallelization, optimization, data manage, visualization). Thus I am seeking a Research Fellow position in you institute, and I am very excited about the possibility of joining you research group of a top university.
