I have attended a PhD program in Structural Engineering. During this period I worked on structural modelling of masonry structures at micro and macro-scale by comparing detailed (FEM) and simplified (equivalent-frame method) modelling methods  for the simulation of masonry structural behaviour.

My reasearch activities focused also on the dynamic identification of structural system by means of numerical and experimental tests of identification procedures in frequency domain.

I have a degree in Building Engineering (curriculum structural engineeging). The universitary course was divided in two parts, a first part (bachelor degree) regarding the fundaments of Civil Engineering and a second part (master degree) more focused on the topics of Structural Engineering.

In both the path I focused my attention on the structural design and modelling of civil structures with particular attention to concrete and masonry structures. A relevant part of the course was also focused of the structural design of steel structures.

The two course was completed with the following tesis projects:

1. bachelor degree tesis: On the macro-element modelling of masonry structures

2. master degree tesis: On the influence of steel reinforcment mechanical properties on the capacity of r.c. structural elements in existing constructions.
