During my master’s training in Microbiology and Immunology at Fudan University, my research has primarily focused on tumor immunology and mitochondria-based therapeutic delivery. My current work centers on engineering extracellular vesicle-based systems to deliver mitochondria to immune cells in order to improve their metabolic fitness and anti-tumor activity in the tumor microenvironment. This work has led me to develop a strong interest in how mitochondrial metabolism shapes immune cell function and therapeutic response. In addition, through my involvement in an MCRS1-related project, I gained research experience in immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence techniques while working in the Department of Pathology at Changhai Hospital. These experiences have strengthened my interest in translation research at the interface of immunology, metabolism, and cancer biology.

Field of study: biomedical engineering
Degree: Bachelor
During my undergraduate training in Biomedical Engineering, I focused on using engineering approaches to address biomedical problems. My thesis involved the development of an inflammation-targeting ZIF-8/albumin drug delivery system, while my innovation projects explored shape-tunable nanoparticles for brain ischemia-reperfusion injury and biomimetic nanoparticles for rheumatoid arthritis therapy. These experiences trained me to think about disease treatment from an engineering perspective, especially through material design, delivery optimization, and biomimetic strategies, and laid the foundation for my later interest in translation biomedical research.
