Summary
My name is Shwetha Malathesh, I have completed my master’s in computer communication in the year 2012 and PhD form Visveswaraya Technological University in 2020 and currently working as Assistant Professor- senior scale in Manipal Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, India and Assistant Director - Research, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Bengaluru. I have published SCIE journal and various Scopus conference papers in integrated optical devices. Having completed twelve years in the field of teaching along with seven years in research. I am interested in enhancing my research capabilities and currently working on integrated optical devices for biomedical applications in point of care devices.
I have handled Digital system design, Analog Electronic Circuit, Linear Integrated Circuits, Microcontroller and its applications and Photonics and their lab components, and many more related courses during my teaching career. I am a confident, self-motivated, career-oriented person with great passion to learn new technologies. I have gained good communication skills and interpersonal skills during my career as a faculty member. This in turn has also helped me in organizing many events and in handling responsibilities related to them, throughout my career. In addition to these, I possess good analytical reasoning, strategic thinking, quantitative aptitude and problem-solving abilities, which I put to use extensively in classroom sessions to approach the courses from a more practical perspective. My desire to excel in the assignments undertaken and the ability to work towards my goals with utmost focus and dedication are my core strengths.
In addition, I have also guided bachelor’s students and master's students in their project work based on photonics. Under my guidance many students published articles in international conferences held in Australia, San Fransico, Germany, Czech Republic with AICTE & SPIE sponsorship. Moreover, I worked as IEEE branch counselor and conducted various workshops and conferences.

During my tenure, I was the course coordinator for Analog Electronics Circuits & Linear Integrated Circuits and its Lab components, where we have designed the experiments on OrCAD-PSpice software.
In addition I have also worked as timetable coordinator for department and library coordinator & research coordinator for the institute. I have also conducted two events like literacy day and workshop on nanotechnology. Also organized field trip to IISc. CeNSE lab for students.
I was also given a post of Assistant Director - Research for Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Bengaluru campus.

During my tenure, I was the course coordinator for Microcontroller & its Applications & Photonics theory subjects. I have also handled subjects like Digital system, Linear integrated circuits and Basic Electronics.
In addition I have also worked as project coordinator and elective coordinator for the department. Also worked as BOS member ,DAC member for the department. Organized 3 days workshop on “Advances in Photonics, Quantum and Nanotechnology” & Speaker for a technical talk on “Nanotechnology for microelectronics and optoelectronics”

During my tenure, I had handled subjects like Digital Electronics, Information Theory & Coding, GSM, Network Security, VLSI and lab components like VLSI lab with cadence software was setup in 2011. Hands-on experience with Lumerical FDTD, MODE & COMSOL software.
Guided students to present in International Conferences held at San Francisco, California, Germany, Australia, Czech Republic with AICTE and SPIE grants.
IEEE branch counselor during the year 2018 -Conducted various workshops and events. Also organized Technical fest as coordinator.
