About

Summary

To obtain knowledge and skills in Agricultural Sciences in an Institution which offers a challenging environment for learning and research to equip me for the development of improved human conditions to communities around the world. I am curious about the orchestration of various mechanisms involved in agriculture, soil conditions, plants responses to biotic and abiotic stresses, ecology, climate change management, innovative techniques for gene identification, breeding, pathology, and food security.

Professional interests

My research interest lies in agronomy focusing on cereal genetics and breeding, plant genomics, plant physiology, molecular biology, plant pathology, ecology, organic agriculture, water and fertilizer use efficiency, climate change, and disease and pest control. I am also interested in social and sustainable management research, and policy infrastructure in agriculture, rural development, climate change, as well as cropping systems research. I strongly believe working in any of these research areas is crucial in promoting global food security. In the future, I would like to be part of a global research network involved in agronomy research to promote sustainable global crop production and food security.
