About
Summary
I am a trained scientist, enthusiastic data scientist and hobby programmer.
On the science track I have specialized in biology, with extensive molecular and cell biology wet lab experience as well as bioinformatics ability. Recently I have pursued deepening my bioinformatics abiltiy in the area of omics data through many analysis of genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics, proteomics and immunopeptidomics data. My aim is to obtain as complete as possible understanding of the cell by disecting its mulit-omics facet. Perhaps my nect omics target is metabolomics?
With large data comes difficulty analysing. To this end I hope to utilize my data science capability to generate models that can encompass all the data. Neural networks and deep learning seem to be the most obvious candidate here. To make this theory into reality is where my ability from programming comes into play.
I am a "Full-stack bioinformatician".

Skills
I have gained experience in a range of topics and would fit into many, if not all biological research environments (I can even be server/network admin). For specific areas where I have not yet had experience, I can easily able to adapt to it as certainly some skills of mine are translatable.
