The International Cytokine and Interferon Society (formerly the ISICR and the ICS) is a non-profit organization of over 600 scientists devoted to research in the fields of cytokine, interferon and chemokine cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry and the clinical use of these biological response modifiers. Each year the Society sponsors an international meeting where scientists can present their latest findings to the world-wide scientific community.
Membership in the society is open to all individuals interested in cytokines, interferons and chemokines. Full membership is only $50/year and $30/3 years for postdoctoral fellows and students (one year memberships are not available for students/fellows). Life memberships are available for those members age 55 or older.
Membership has many benefits, including: eligibility for awards, including travel awards to the annual meeting; the opportunity to participate in the ICIS sponsored session at the American Association of Immunology annual meeting, access to a slide repository currently containing over 550 slides for use in lectures, seminars, courses, etc; the most recent issue of the popular Signals newsletter and the opportunity to network with the leading investigators in the field of cytokine, interferon and chemokine research.
Head: 2014-2015 Dr. Richard Flavell, Yale University
